The The Influence of the Make a Match Type Cooperative Learning Model on Symbolic Thinking Ability

ABSTRACT : One of the most important skills to develop in preparation for the future in further education is cognitive development , especially symbolic thinking skills . A learning model that can improve these skills aims to determine the effect of the make a match cooperative learning model on symbolic thinking skills . This study uses a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a pre-experimental design , one-group pretest-posttest . The sample size was 14 children in group B, with data collection techniques using participant observation and documentation in the form of photos of activities and daily learning activity plans . Data processing used Wilcoxon signed rank test data analysis . The results of the data analysis obtained a T- value (<21) and Ha was accepted . Based on the data analysis , it shows that there is a significant influence between the make a match cooperative learning model on symbolic thinking skills in group B.References
