Abstract

Arabic as language of Islamic religion is the main need of every Muslim, especially for the da'i (preacher). The importance of Arabic for the da'i is as instruments, tools, and door. Studying of commentary, hadith, fiqh or even want to use the Qur'an and hadith as sources of knowledge with alumni mastering adequate Arabic firstly, is the same as wanting to catch fish with your bare hands, it is impossible to get fresh fish. Therefore, it is very important to learn and master the Arabic language, especially for the da'i, so that the quality of the da'wah that will be delivered comes from a true and comprehensive understanding of Islam. The approach used in this research is qualitative-descriptive research. Data collection methods used are participatory observation, depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis method uses an inductive method with steps consist of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research Results in this research: 1) Arabic learning programs for da'wah at Da'wah Management Department include: Hybrid Learning program, 16 meeting lecture program, Safari Da'wah program, oration da'wah program, literacy da'wah program, art da'wah program, and gift giving program. 2) The supporting factors for Arabic learning for da'wah at Da'wah Management Department are divided into two, namely internal supporting factors and external supporting factors. Internal supporting factors include: Lecturers are experts in their science, some students are alumni from Islamic boarding schools and Islamic school, learning materials are light and easy to understand by students. While external supporting factors include: students are trained and studied at Ma'had al-Jami'ah for a year, all students attend compulsory lectures at Islamic School (Madrasah Diniyah) for a year, there is a language laboratory called the Center for Da'wah Cadre Studies (PSKD). 3) the inhibiting factors include: Students don’t take advantage of break time, some students are not alumni of Islamic boarding schools or Islamic school, students interest in Arabic learning. While the external inhibiting factors include: differences of environment where students live, lecture, moving class, availability of internet for each student. 4) The evaluation of Arabic learning in Da'wah Management Department is similar to evaluation of learning on campus generally, namely the Middle Examination and Final Examination. While the evaluation of Arabic learning in extracurricular activities at Center for Da'wah Cadre Studies (PSKD) is a four language speech exam, then the assessment is written in a Muballigh Certificate.
